Novelty Infrastructures Limited completed erection, testing and commissioning of 33/11 kV AIS substations located at KALIGANJ (LALMONIRHAT district), SHIBGANJ (CHAPAINAWABGANJ district) and KURIGRAM district in Bangladesh. After 18 months of Civil and Electrical construction works, the final commissioning of the project had been completed at 18th of July, 2021.
Novelty team leader (Electrical) for this project Engr. Joyanta Deb Gupta explained the project as, “We have done this project as a subcontractor of China Energy Engineering Group Jiangsu No.3 Electric Power Construction Company Limited under the authority of Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB). The Transformers, 11 kV AIS Panels, 33 kV VCB, Steel structures etc. were supplied by China Energy Engineering Group Limited and installed, tested and commissioned by Novelty.”
There were several teams from Novelty deployed to complete the project. One of these teams was led by Engr Foisal Hossain who was the Civil engineering in- charge, said, “This was a challenging project as there were many difficulties like environmental and administrative. Despite of humid air and high temperature of Nawabganj our team did a magnificent job. I am proud of them.”
