Novelty was selected by DBL Group to supply, install and test the Lightning Protection System at DBL Ethiopia (DBL Industries PLC). The objective of this project was to protect valuable equipment’s from lightning, prevent environmental damage and provide Compliance Audit Support.
DBL Group is one the most important client of NOVELTY. Most of their factory buildings in Bangladesh has Conventional Faraday Cage System Thundering Protection. Mymun Complex (6 Buildings), Jinnat Complex (8 Buildings), Color City (Unit 1 & 2), Mawna Fashion, DBL Pharma all of the unit's Lightning Protection System was designed and Implemented by NOVELTY. With their New venture in ETHIOPIA, Novelty was chose to design, Supply and install the lightning protection system. As per the NFPA 780 and also complying with Ethiopian Local Engineering Guideline, NOVELTY Designed the Thundering Protection System. All the Arresters, Terminal Base, cables, ground rods and fitting accessories are designed by Novelty team. Manufacturing was done at China under the supervision of NOVLETY experts. Total procedure of logistics and supply chain is supervised by NOVELTY. Quality assurance and standardized inspection was also done under this contract. On Site installation and Related Earth Resistance Test was completed in due time novelty team.
Lightning protection system (LPS); transfer the lightning current safely to the ground. This system includes air termination, down conductor and earth termination system which is also known as a lightning protection grounding system that intended to provide a low resistance path to dissipate high current into the soil.
Our engineering team provided a range of services. Starting from designing to installing the Lightning Protection System. The project was completed in seven steps. The steps are as follows:

4. Materials Installation Work
5. Boring work & Earth Resistance Value measurement
6. As-Built design & Drawing
7. Project Hand over to Client
All Materials used in this project was Eco-friendly. Moreover, the implementation process was as per NFPA 78 guidelines.
